Assessments

A psychological assessment gathers information about a child or youth through a number of means, such as standardized tests, interviews, rating scales and observation. The information gathered helps to better understand their strengths and weaknesses in a number of areas, such as intellectual, academic, social, emotional, and/or behavioural functioning. Sometimes, the results uncover a diagnosis, but most importantly, they provide imperative information for intervention.

For school-aged children to better understand their cognitive, academic, social, emotional, and/or behavioural functioning. Assessments include intake interviews, standardized assessments with your child, questionnaires, consultation with key individuals in your child’s life, optional observation of your child in their school setting, and a final report including results of the assessment and recommendations.
